About the Role

The Project Manager I oversees the administration, organization, and implementation of small electrical construction projects or sub‑sections of larger, complex initiatives. This role supports the project superintendent, manages schedules, budgets, permits, and ensures timely, profitable completion while maintaining safety and quality standards. • Assist the project superintendent with documentation, layout, and field office support. • Develop resource‑loaded CPM schedules using Primavera software. • Coordinate and lead project kick‑off meetings. • Forecast cash flow and manpower requirements. • Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications. • Create budgets, cost codes, and assign resources for foreman‑level tracking. • Compile submittals, price change orders, and prepare complete project estimates. • Present proposals to potential customers. • Follow bid procedures and complete bid forms. • Resolve work procedures, complaints, and construction issues with stakeholders. • Coordinate acquisition of major materials and monitor equipment needs. • Obtain required permits and licenses; manage inspections timely. • Manage overall project financials and maintain profitability above budget. • Expedite change orders to keep projects on schedule. • Ensure timely project completion, including punch‑list items and accurate as‑built documentation. • Prepare monthly reports analyzing budget, schedule, cash flow, and manpower forecasts. • Identify cost‑saving opportunities and quality improvements. • Complete KPRs with accurate information. • Develop detailed equipment plans. • Enforce all safety regulations on site. • Review contracts and negotiate with customers. • Supervise construction project managers and perform PM duties on construction projects. • Maintain operational and administrative control for multiple construction projects. • Manage teams and monitor several projects simultaneously. • Engage early with engineering firms, clients, and general contractors. • Lead cross‑functional teams to achieve business objectives. • Apply strong analytical thinking for short‑ and long‑term planning.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science/Engineering, Math, or Physics (or an MS with fewer years of experience) and possess extensive project‑management experience, including supervising construction teams and handling multi‑discipline projects. Strong communication, analytical, leadership, and coaching skills are essential, as is the ability to work in diverse environments. • BS in relevant engineering or science field with 7+ years experience (or 5+ years with MS). • Proven success on multi‑discipline projects (e.g., fire alarm, communications, security, AV, power, instrumentation). • Strong verbal and written communication abilities. • Work effectively in diverse environments with varied personnel backgrounds. • Demonstrate leadership, coaching, and change‑facilitation skills. • Open communication with senior leadership and local management.
