About the Role
The position calls for mission planning, requirements development, and integration of system, people, and process solutions across maritime, ground, air, and space‑based acquisitions. It also includes developing technical information to aid government program‑management decisions and translating system definitions into work‑breakdown structures. • Provide mission planning and requirements development using an interdisciplinary approach for integrated life‑cycle solutions. • Develop technical information to support government program‑management decision‑making and create work‑breakdown structures. • Produce CONOPS for technical collection operations and oversee contractor development of collection systems and software. • Support system engineering functions including acquisition documentation, test and evaluation, and design reviews. • Manage and control system configuration documents and program cost, schedule, and performance. • Create and maintain programmatic and technical data to aid decision‑making.

KBR is seeking a Mid‑Level Systems Engineer to support a customer in Chantilly, VA. The role involves drafting critical documents for new contracts and requires experience within the Intelligence Community and familiarity with standard systems‑engineering approaches and modeling techniques. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (master’s preferred) and have 0–5 years of relevant experience. The role demands the ability to integrate technical efforts throughout the system life cycle, support collection system software acquisitions, and manage configuration documents. Travel may be required both CONUS and OCONUS, and an active TS‑SCI/polygraph clearance is mandatory. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (master’s preferred) with 0‑5 years of experience. • Demonstrated ability to integrate technical efforts across system development, verification, deployment, operation, support, and disposal. • Experience with technical collection prioritization, intelligence processing, source selections, and oversight of program metrics. • Travel domestically and internationally as required; maintain active TS‑SCI with polygraph clearance.
