About the Role
The role provides leadership within a sector of the organization to ensure that subject‑matter expertise, technical deliverables, infrastructure projects and programs meet or exceed industry and company standards for design, safety, and functionality. It also oversees SME innovation, corporate compliance with local, state and federal regulations, and offers pragmatic direction to address current and future challenges in a rapidly changing business climate. The incumbent will proactively lead transportation‑related disciplines, guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality project and work‑site outcomes. Responsibilities include acting as a trusted advisor to clients, serving as the primary liaison with federal, state and local agencies, subcontractors and community entities, and developing project scopes, timelines, pricing and budgets in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. The role also involves interpreting data, providing strategic advice, and cultivating a client base for advisory services and business development opportunities. • Lead transportation‑related disciplines and provide strategic, trusted‑advisor services. • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver design, safety and functional infrastructure projects. • Serve as primary liaison with federal, state, local agencies, clients, subcontractors and community groups. • Develop project scopes, timelines, pricing and budgets in compliance with all regulations. • Interpret data and reports to produce sound project and regulatory conclusions. • Build and grow a client base, identifying business development and cross‑selling opportunities. • Ensure ethical decision‑making, adherence to QA/QC and the company code of conduct. • Maintain strong knowledge of laws, codes, compliance and record‑keeping requirements. • Uphold workplace safety and comply with health, safety, drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

What You Bring
Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering, data sciences, business, economics, finance, urban or transportation planning, environmental studies, liberal arts, public policy, operations research or a related field, plus at least 12 years of relevant post‑education experience. Candidates must have advanced proficiency in infrastructure planning, design and construction management, a strong working knowledge of laws, codes, regulations and compliance practices, and the ability to lead teams while adhering to QA/QC standards. Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and lateral‑thinking skills, as well as a proven record of workplace safety and adherence to WSP’s conduct policies, are essential. Preferred qualifications include extensive experience managing the review and approval of documents, discipline‑specific deliverables, certifications, processes and plans across multiple projects. This expertise is highly desirable for ensuring consistent quality and regulatory compliance in a multi‑project environment. • Require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 12+ years of post‑education experience. • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in infrastructure planning, design and construction management. • Exhibit strong leadership, communication, analytical and lateral‑thinking skills. • Preferred: experience managing document review, approvals and discipline‑specific deliverables in multi‑project settings.
