About the Role

The Highway Design Coordinator works alongside project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects, taking responsibility for alignment, profile, geometrics, drainage, and the development of plans and construction estimates. The role also supports the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications, and calculations, and performs other duties as needed. • Collaborate with project engineers on detailed design of urban and rural roadways. • Manage alignment, profile, geometric design, drainage, and develop construction plans and cost estimates. • Assist in preparing technical reports, specifications, and calculations.

What You Bring

Preferred qualifications include an Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate and proficiency with MicroStation or AutoCAD, as well as experience using highways‑and‑roads software such as Bentley ConceptStation, Open Roads Designer, Autodesk Infraworks, or Civil3D. Candidates lacking an EIT will be placed in a Design Coordinator job code and are expected to obtain the certification for career progression.
