About the Role

The Program Manager will recruit and manage contractors and trade allies who install HVAC, water‑heating, and weatherization solutions for residential customers. This role serves the Trade Ally Network and collaborates with the Customer Energy Management and Demand Response/Flexibility teams. Key duties include designing and delivering strategic energy programs, participating in goal setting, budget planning, market research, evaluation, and business‑case development, as well as driving continuous improvement and customer‑focused marketing outreach. • Manage large, customer‑facing programs with complex scope and significant budgets. • Set program goals, plan budgets, and direct overall program activities. • Monitor progress and forecast accurately to meet annual targets while minimizing variances. • Develop cost‑effective product specifications and energy‑savings measures. • Lead strategic program planning, implementation, and business‑case development. • Conduct market research, analyze data, and apply best practices to program design. • Generate innovative strategic concepts and pursue continuous improvement. • Oversee third‑party vendor contracts, negotiate budgets, and track performance KPIs. • Build and maintain positive relationships with trade professionals and stakeholders. • Resolve customer issues, propose solutions, and ensure excellent service. • Execute marketing and outreach strategies with internal and external partners. • Coordinate with senior management to ensure departmental consistency. • Deliver high‑profile assignments diligently and provide performance feedback. • Train and develop team members to support program objectives as needed.

What You Bring

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in program coordination or management. • Proven ability to manage project portfolios, including scope, budget, schedule, and risk. • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Ability to collaborate across resources and identify integration opportunities. • Proven analytical skills to solve complex problems. • Experience managing external vendor relationships. • Experience establishing and executing quality‑control processes. • Background in trade organization or community outreach. • Excellent customer‑service expertise. • Knowledge of accounting, finance, or mathematics principles. • Exceptional attention to detail. • Utility‑industry experience with knowledge of demand‑side management and distributed energy resources. • Familiarity with HVAC, weatherization, or electrical contractor work in small‑to‑medium‑business settings. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Experience in contract management and negotiation. • Relevant certifications such as BPI, CEM, LEED, or PMP. • Experience serving hard‑to‑reach, vulnerable, or low‑income customers.
