About the Role
As a Procurement Supervisor, you will manage and optimize procurement strategies, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations. You will oversee complex purchasing activities for goods, services, and supplies while identifying opportunities for cost savings, volume discounts, and long‑term contracts. Collaborating with internal teams such as operations, maintenance, warehouse, and engineering, you will ensure efficient and timely movement of supplies to meet mission‑critical needs. You will also serve as a resource for junior team members, guiding them and sharing best practices. Under general direction, you will use specialized knowledge to solve complex problems and lead daily activities of a functional support team. You will lead negotiations for favorable terms, volume discounts, and multi‑year contracts with suppliers for essential goods and services, and oversee timely procurement aligned with internal and customer‑driven requirements. You will resolve supplier‑related issues, negotiate refunds or replacements, and partner with internal stakeholders to manage scheduling, movement, and receipt of goods to ensure operational continuity. Conducting supplier performance reviews, enforcing contract compliance, and implementing corrective actions are also part of the role. Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities, analyzing market trends, and recommending strategies to enhance processes and optimize spend are required. You will prepare and present procurement reports, contribute to forecasting and planning, and ensure compliance with policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. You will oversee the full range of procurement and administration activities for projects, establish task priorities, and use judgment to develop best practices. You may direct resources, prioritize tasks, and provide guidance to less experienced team members, coordinating with operations, maintenance, warehouse, and engineering. • Lead negotiations for volume discounts and multi‑year contracts with suppliers • Oversee end‑to‑end procurement of goods, services, and supplies to meet mission‑critical needs • Resolve supplier issues including defects, delivery delays, refunds, and replacements • Conduct supplier performance reviews and enforce contract compliance • Analyze market trends and recommend spend‑optimization strategies • Prepare and present procurement reports and data analyses for strategic decisions • Manage procurement forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements • Mentor and guide junior procurement team members • Maintain accurate records of contracts, orders, and communications • Coordinate scheduling and movement of supplies with operations, maintenance, warehouse, and engineering teams

What You Bring
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required, along with at least seven years of experience in procurement or supply chain management. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in supplier negotiations and contract management and have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong knowledge of procurement policies, industry standards, and best practices is also required. Experience with Deltek (CostPoint) or similar procurement software, and familiarity with Federal Government contracts or subcontract processes, is preferred. Knowledge of commercial or defense procurement processes is an additional advantage. • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management and 7+ years procurement experience • Preferred: Experience with Deltek/CostPoint and Federal Government contract processes

Benefits
The position follows a hybrid work model, split between two days in the office and two to three days remote. It is located in the Chennai, India area and relocation assistance is not provided.
