About the Role
The Building Cleaning Worker role includes positions such as porters, janitors, maids, window washers, and rug shampooers, responsible for keeping commercial or institutional premises clean and orderly. Key duties involve cleaning offices, bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, elevators, stairways and other common areas, performing floor care, washing walls and glass, removing rubbish, and handling pressure‑washing, gum and graffiti removal. • Clean offices, bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, elevators, stairways, and other common areas. • Perform floor care: wet/dry mop, scrub, wax, polish, and shampoo rugs or carpets. • Wash walls and glass, remove rubbish, pressure‑wash, and eliminate gum and graffiti. • Make minor repairs, paint, handle basic carpentry, and replenish bathroom supplies. • Dust furniture and equipment, replace light bulbs, and maintain lighting fixtures. • Transport small equipment, set up tables and chairs for meetings or events. • Maintain landscaping and perform snow removal when required.

What You Bring
The position requires a High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) with less than one year of prior experience on a commercial or multi‑unit residential property, and expects dependability, teamwork, ethical behavior, adherence to safety procedures, and basic English proficiency. • Require High School Diploma/GED or equivalent; less than 1 year of relevant experience. • Demonstrate dependability, teamwork, ethical conduct, and follow safety protocols. • Possess basic reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills in English.
