About the Role

The QC Technician is responsible for inspecting and testing materials and finished products at various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with applicable laws, industry codes, standards, and Company and Customer specifications. This role safeguards product quality by verifying that all requirements are met throughout production. • Develop and maintain inspection reports. • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specifications. • Maintain calibration of quality control equipment. • Perform inspections across all stages of production. • Prepare and maintain test data for review. • Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards. • Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly. • Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED required. • Solid understanding of measuring, inspection and test equipment. • 2-5 years of inspection and/or production experience in metals fabrication. • Visual weld and welding inspection experience. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. • Strong working knowledge of fractions, ratios, and proportions. • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. • Required vision: close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment (20/20 acuity). • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Excellent organizational skills. • Ability to analyze and interpret information. • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and fabrication drawings. • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred). • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) (preferred).
