About the Role

• Operate lowboy trailers to transport heavy construction equipment (e.g., pavers, rollers, excavators) safely. • Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment in compliance with DOT and company safety standards. • Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections of tractor, trailer, and cargo. • Coordinate deliveries and pickups with dispatch, plant personnel, and field crews. • Maintain accurate logs, permits, and required documentation. • Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies. • Assist with yard moves and other hauling duties as needed. • Represent Cincinnati Asphalt professionally at job sites and customer locations.

What You Bring

Cincinnati Asphalt is seeking an experienced Lowboy Driver with heavy haul experience to transport construction equipment and materials safely and efficiently between job sites, plants, and yards. This role supports asphalt paving, milling, and construction operations and requires a strong focus on safety, compliance, and teamwork. The position involves constant standing, moving, lifting, and operating machinery in a variety of outdoor and indoor environments. Drivers may encounter low and high temperatures, precipitation, wind, noisy and occasionally hazardous conditions, and may work shift, overnight, and occasional overtime including weekends. • Hold a valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record. • Possess lowboy/equipment hauling experience; heavy‑haul or oversize load experience preferred. • Knowledge of proper load securement techniques and ability to safely load/unload equipment. • Strong safety mindset and attention to detail. • Preferred: experience in asphalt, paving, or construction; familiarity with regional routes; ability to obtain/maintain oversize permits; basic mechanical knowledge. • Physical demands include constant standing, moving, lifting, operating machinery, and occasional heavy lifting up to 100 lb.
