About the Role
In this role, the Designer assists in the preparation and support of design plans for projects of varying complexity, including CAD/Revit drawing set‑up, arc flash and coordination studies, and the preparation of specifications for final engineer review. The Designer also finalizes CAD sheets, XRefs, and title blocks for deliverables. Essential duties include preparing engineering drawings using current AutoCAD versions (MicroStation knowledge is a plus), reviewing sketches and specifications from electrical engineers for design conformity, and assisting with technical studies. The Designer contributes to daily CAD production, operation, and QA/QC tasks, collaborates with other disciplines on multi‑discipline projects, maintains up‑to‑date knowledge of drafting hardware and software, performs fieldwork and documentation as requested, and manages client/sub‑consultant CAD coordination issues. • Prepare engineering drawings using AutoCAD (MicroStation knowledge a plus). • Review sketches, drawings, and specifications from electrical engineers for design conformity. • Assist engineers with technical studies, including arc flash and coordination studies. • Finalize CAD sheets, XRefs, and title blocks for project deliverables. • Contribute to daily CAD production, operation, and QA/QC tasks. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on multi‑discipline projects. • Perform fieldwork, documentation, research, and drafting as requested. • Manage client and sub‑consultant CAD coordination issues. • Create specifications for engineer review.

What You Bring
Education and experience requirements include a high school diploma with specific CAD training; candidates with more experience are welcome and will receive salary commensurate with experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD, knowledge of MicroStation, experience with plotter configurations, page setups, and plot styles, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills, are essential. • Maintain current knowledge of drafting hardware, software, and procedural updates. • Configure plotters, page setups, and plot styles. • Hold a high school diploma with specific CAD training; salary based on experience. • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
