About the Role
Sales representatives collaborate with every department—from the yard and dispatch office to middle management and market vice presidents—to sell the full line of building materials and installed services to local contractors, builders, and remodelers. After closing a sale, you will manage the job, maintain the customer relationship, visit job sites as needed, keep product‑use data current, and troubleshoot issues. Success depends on proven sales strategies, strong follow‑through, and heavy communication. • Generate sales of building materials and installed services to local contractors, builders, and remodelers. • Manage sold projects, maintain client relationships, and address on‑site issues. • Collect and update customer product usage and market trend information. • Create material estimates, quotes, and process special orders. • Open new accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis. • Read blueprints and produce material take‑off lists. • Attend HBA, builder, and company events as required.
