Job Highlights
About the Role
The specialist will develop and implement Quality Assurance Plans and Inspection & Test Plans, conduct supplier inspections across Europe, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AQAP standards. They will work closely with engineering, procurement, and project teams to embed quality throughout the project lifecycle and support the Quality Manager with the Quality Management System and audit preparation. • Create and manage QA documentation for naval HVAC and fire systems • Conduct supplier inspections across Europe • Review and approve supplier certifications and quality records • Lead 8D Root Cause Analysis and drive CAPA initiatives • Support internal and external audits, including MOD and client reviews • Maintain quality metrics and contribute to continuous improvement

What You Bring
Johnson Controls is seeking a dedicated Quality Specialist for its Naval Systems team, focusing on HVAC, fire suppression, and fire detection systems. The role is remote‑based but requires the candidate to live within commuting distance of a Johnson Controls office in Basildon, Manchester, or Sunbury‑on‑Thames. • Experience in naval, defence, or marine engineering quality assurance • Strong knowledge of HVAC and fire safety systems • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AQAP 2105/2110/2210 standards • Proven track record in supplier inspections and audit processes • Proficiency in 8D problem‑solving methodology • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills • Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field • Ability to travel to multiple site locations for inspections
