About the Role
In this role you will manage Mechanical and Electrical Services consultants and subcontractors throughout design, installation, testing and commissioning. You will be accountable for achieving the highest health and safety standards, leading the site team, and developing a positive H&S culture measured monthly. You will review and maintain safety and quality plans in line with Galliford Try’s Business Management System and SHE standards, and manage sub‑contractor programmes, weekly labour and material returns, and quality compliance. • Manage outsourced design production and direct M&E design and installation to meet time, cost, and quality targets. • Oversee Mechanical and Electrical Services consultants and subcontractors through design, installation, testing, and commissioning. • Ensure highest health and safety standards on site, lead the team by example, and foster a positive H&S culture measured monthly. • Review and maintain safety and quality plans in compliance with Galliford Try’s Business Management System and SHE standards. • Develop and manage project‑specific H&S plans in partnership with the planning supervisor and project manager. • Coordinate sub‑contractors to produce detailed contract programmes aligned with the overall project schedule. • Require weekly returns of labour, plant, and materials from all discipline sub‑contractors. • Promote a “Best Quality” culture, setting high workmanship standards and rejecting inferior work. • Ensure sub‑contractors comply with drawings, specifications, and GT quality procedures. • Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders following GT PR procedures.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a recognised Building Services qualification at HNC or degree level and has experience working with main contractors in a building services capacity. A thorough knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, CDM 2015, sub‑contract processes and basic project management principles is required. • Recognised Building Services qualification (HNC or Degree level). • Experience working with main contractors in a building services role. • Full knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and CDM 2015 regulations. • Understanding of sub‑contract processes, contracts and commercial aspects. • Basic project management skills including programming, cash‑flow analysis and resource planning.
