About the Role

The Technician III operates facility mechanical and supporting systems, conducts structured inspections, and performs preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment. Work is performed according to established processes and must comply with environmental, health, safety, and fire‑protection requirements. Key duties include troubleshooting equipment conditions, executing routine and on‑demand service requests, and monitoring mechanical, electrical, and other systems through regular walkthroughs. The role manages the full work‑order lifecycle in the maintenance management database, supports the preventative‑maintenance program, and ensures all work meets quality and contractual standards. The position also involves client‑service activities to maintain tenant satisfaction, participation in facility‑related projects, and administration of tools, expenditures, and compliance documentation. Additional responsibilities include mentoring lower‑level technicians and adhering to shift, on‑call, and emergency availability. • Provides observations about facility, mechanical and electrical equipment conditions and suggests enhancements or repairs.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high‑school diploma with trades training, at least three years of experience in HVAC, pneumatic or hydraulic maintenance, and possess knowledge of BAS, HVAC systems, and safety practices. Required certifications include a Building Operator Certification or an equivalent provincial HVAC/apprentice licence, a valid driver’s licence, and the ability to obtain security clearance. Compensation ranges from $28.30 to $33.29 per hour, adjusted for experience and qualifications. • Building Operator Certification or equivalent through an accredited institution required. • Provincial HVAC or apprentice license (e.g., Gasfitter I & II, refrigeration license).
