About the Role

The Food Service Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the department, including menu development, food preparation, staffing, budgeting, compliance, and collaboration with clinical and corporate teams to ensure high‑quality, safe, and resident‑focused dining services. • Ensure all food service operations align with the community’s service philosophy and maintain professional appearance. • Monitor daily operational metrics and enforce policies, procedures, and performance standards. • Develop and deliver in‑service training for staff to achieve high‑quality service. • Participate in departmental and community meetings, maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance. • Administer, plan, and direct food service activities, controlling costs and managing the department budget. • Oversee menu formulation, food preparation, purchasing, sanitation, safety, and staff utilization. • Recruit, orient, coach, and schedule kitchen personnel to optimize service quality and profitability. • Maintain equipment cleanliness and ensure proper food purchasing and inventory control. • Consult with physicians, dietitians, and executive leadership to design and approve special diet menus. • Inspect meals for dietary compliance, palatability, and appearance. • Coordinate with Dining Room Manager and corporate F&B team to meet SRG standards and compliance. • Promote the Genuine Hospitality Program and respond to residents’ special needs. • Emphasize safe food handling practices and uphold sanitation standards.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least five years of supervisory experience, preferably in hospitality, country club, or senior‑living food service. Strong written communication, budgeting skills, and the ability to apply mathematical concepts to operational decisions are required.
