About the Role
The Project Coordinator reports to the Track Manager and supports the smooth execution of assigned projects. This entry‑level role offers training toward senior positions and involves documentation, cost control, supply coordination, progress tracking, quality and safety oversight, and issue resolution. • Assess and/or prepare scope of work required to successfully fulfill project requirements • Prepare budget and revenue estimates based on the scope of work and specifications • Develop project schedules • Prepare work plans and methodologies, including obtaining permits, organizing resources, developing logistics and coordinating tasks among stakeholders • Assist in procuring material, equipment, and services • Prepare supporting reports and documents as per project requirements • Attend internal meetings, client meetings, and other stakeholder meetings • Monitor and evaluate performance of on‑site employees and subcontractors • Develop documentation for submission of project‑related invoices • Investigate and report all issues arising during all stages of the project • Prepare and analyse cost, budget, production, and other reports as requested by management • Actively engage and promote safety culture, ensuring safety and quality control standards are followed • Majority of field work is on and around live track (trains)

What You Bring
• Flex Work (Possibility) – Hybrid position • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Contract Management, Project Management, or related field • Minimum 2 years experience in construction or railroad industry • General concepts of project management knowledge • Proficiency with business and construction software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Outlook, Primavera P6, Hard Dollar, or JD Edwards (asset) • Ability to apply, interpret and understand contract law and language • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proper grammar and punctuation • Strong client relations, influencing, and organizational skills • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under strict deadlines • Occasional exposure to outdoor construction sites in all weather conditions
