About the Role
As a Substation Electrical Engineer, you will take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution, tackling challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of electrical engineering issues. You will prepare clear and concise technical and project reports that meet client requirements and S&L formats, and may travel to client sites as needed.

What You Bring
• BSEE degree from an ABET‑accredited program (required) • Minimum 7 years experience designing Medium Voltage Power Systems • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects within budget and schedule • Experience tracking project schedules, expenditures, and preparing status reports and client communication • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills • Experience reviewing design drawings created by others • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications • 3+ years experience designing substations 138 kV and above (preferred) • Ability to perform substation grounding, direct‑stroke shielding, battery and charger sizing calculations • Experience with physical layout, protection, and controls design • Capability to develop single‑line, relaying, metering, DC schematic, grounding, and plan diagrams with designers • Familiarity with ANSI/IEEE/NEMA standards and the National Electrical Safety Code (ANSI‑C2) • Professional Engineer (PE) license (desired) • AutoCAD proficiency (desired)
