About the Role
• Ensure crew safety through training, daily Tailgate Safety Meetings, and enforcement of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs). • Lead and mentor field survey staff, fostering high performance and continuous skill development. • Maintain organized field notes, sketches, and survey control documentation aligned with project standards. • Collect, verify, and process survey data using proper naming conventions for seamless office transition. • Coordinate daily with Project Managers and Land Surveyors to set goals, track progress, and resolve field challenges. • Follow client and company protocols to guarantee survey data accuracy across diverse project specifications. • Perform control checks, traverse angle closures, and level run validations before submitting data. • Track and document crew timesheets, vehicle usage, and equipment condition to optimize operations. • Collaborate with engineering, GIS, and planning departments to meet quality standards and deadlines. • Apply critical thinking, problem‑solving, and sound judgment to deliver quality work. • Own projects proactively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

What You Bring
Fisher Associates is looking for an experienced Survey Party Chief to lead land‑surveying field crews, oversee daily operations, ensure safe and accurate data collection, and coordinate with project managers and survey staff to meet project requirements. The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 lb, operate a company vehicle, travel regularly to project sites across Pennsylvania and New York, and work outdoors in all weather conditions. • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field preferred. • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Survey Party Chief. • Proficient with Leica GPS, scanning, and Total Station equipment. • Demonstrate alignment with Fisher’s mission, vision, core values, and client‑centric philosophy. • Exhibit collaboration, integrity, respect, and active listening in all interactions. • Possess superior organizational and planning skills with keen attention to detail.
