About the Role

The HVAC New Construction Installer is responsible for complete installation of HVAC systems in residential and light‑commercial projects, from rough‑in to final startup. You will ensure every duct, line set, and piece of equipment meets Edelman’s high standards. While working under a Lead Installer, you are expected to complete standard tasks with minimal supervision. Core duties include installing furnaces, air handlers, condensers and ventilation systems, and running line sets, drain lines, gas piping and venting with precision. You will read and follow mechanical plans to place systems correctly, maintain a ‘better than we found it’ job site, and coordinate with builders, site supervisors and other trades to keep projects on schedule and within labor budgets. Startup, testing and on‑site troubleshooting are performed to ensure compliance with local codes. • Install furnaces, air handlers, condensers, and ventilation systems with precision • Run line sets, drain lines, gas piping, and venting • Read and follow mechanical plans to ensure correct system placement • Maintain a tidy, organized job site and vehicle per the "better than we found it" standard • Coordinate with builders, site supervisors, and other trades to keep projects on schedule and within labor budgets • Perform startup, testing, and on‑site troubleshooting to meet local codes • Climb ladders and safely use power tools • Work full‑time Monday‑Friday, 7 am‑5 pm with occasional overtime

What You Bring

We require 6 months to 3 years of residential HVAC installation experience and EPA certification (or a $1 /hr raise upon completion). Candidates must pass a drug screen and background check, hold a valid driver’s license with an insurable record, and possess basic hand tools for Install Level 2 work.
