About the Role

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to lead your own smaller projects while working alongside Senior Project Managers on major programmes giving you exposure, development, and room to grow. There will also be opportunities to line manage and mentor junior colleagues and to contribute to the ongoing development of our Environmental Project Management Team’s strategy. You will support the development of project proposals, determine requirements, scope, resources, programme and cost estimates, develop and maintain project management documentation, monitor and control schedules, staff hours, budgets and forecasts, ensure health and safety information for site visits, undertake contract management and administration, actively manage change and risks, work with technical teams, lead and mentor multi‑disciplinary environmental project teams, promote environmental betterment and net‑zero strategies, and serve as the face of Environment and Consents with clients and stakeholders. • Lead smaller environmental projects and support senior managers on major programmes. • Develop project proposals, defining scope, resources, schedule and cost estimates. • Create and maintain project documentation such as plans, risk registers and stakeholder registers. • Monitor and control project budgets, forecasts, staff hours and overall progress. • Ensure health and safety compliance for site visits and obtain necessary approvals. • Manage contracts, administer changes and uphold project governance. • Lead, mentor and develop multi‑disciplinary environmental project teams and suppliers. • Promote delivery of environmental betterment, net‑zero and future‑ready strategies. • Serve as primary contact for Environment and Consents with clients and internal stakeholders. • Provide line‑management and mentorship to junior colleagues. • Apply strong commercial, contractual and financial acumen to deliver projects within budget. • Utilize programme management tools (MS Project, Primavera P6) to manage work breakdown structures and critical paths.

What You Bring

We are looking for candidates with proven experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager, preferably in environment or sustainability, a genuine interest in land‑based sustainable development, strong communication skills, knowledge of programme management and tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6, strong commercial and contractual awareness with financial acumen, experience with Professional Services Contracts (NEC3/4 advantageous), and membership or progress towards chartership with a relevant professional institution. • Experience with Professional Services Contracts (NEC3/4) is advantageous. • Hold or be working towards chartered status with a relevant professional institution (PMI, APM, MIEnvSc, etc.).
