About the Role
The role focuses on onboarding, developing, coaching, mentoring, and managing the performance of drivers and helpers, while establishing positive relationships with all front‑line employees. The majority of the workday is spent in the field alongside these employees to provide direct support and guidance. Key responsibilities include ensuring new frontline employees have the tools, instruction, and feedback needed for daily duties, conducting regular meetings for consistent communication, and reviewing best practices to enhance performance. The position also emphasizes safety leadership, root‑cause investigations for incidents, and maintaining regulatory documentation, as well as visiting customers to resolve safety concerns and explore service alternatives. The job involves a combination of office and plant/field environments, requiring the use of standard office equipment and occasional physical activity to meet operational demands. • Onboard, develop, coach, mentor, and manage performance of drivers and helpers • Provide tools, instruction, and daily feedback to new frontline employees • Hold daily meetings with new frontline staff to ensure consistent communication • Maintain timely and consistent touchpoints with frontline employees • Review best practices regularly to improve daily performance • Support frontline employee career goal development and progress • Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with employees for success • Lead by example to enforce paramount safety practices • Teach and reinforce the WM Way methodology • Conduct root cause investigations for injuries and incidents, applying discipline and retraining • Document and maintain records required by regulatory agencies such as the DOT • Review and audit route operation documentation daily (e.g., DVIRs, time and attendance, open tickets) and follow up appropriately • Visit customers and sites to evaluate and resolve safety issues and explore service alternatives

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least an associate’s degree (or a high school diploma with two years of relevant experience), be 18 or older, legally authorized to work, and hold a valid driver’s license.
