About the Role

• Develop and support procurement strategies, RFQs and sourcing activities across water infrastructure projects • Lead supplier and subcontractor engagement during TOC development, including benchmarking, risk assessments and negotiations • Expedite materials and manage procurement activities through to subcontractor handover • Collaborate with regional procurement hubs to leverage Downer’s buying power and manage long‑lead items • Identify, manage and report procurement‑related risks, opportunities and performance metrics

What You Bring

Downer’s Energy & Utilities Water Services business is seeking an experienced Procurement Advisor (Contract) to support the successful delivery of major water infrastructure programs across Queensland. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Advisor, this role plays a key part in developing Target Outturn Costs (TOCs) and executing sourcing and contracting activities in line with Downer and client frameworks. You will work closely with project teams, commercial leaders and regional procurement hubs to drive value, manage risk and deliver commercial outcomes in complex project environments. • 5+ years’ experience in procurement for utilities, infrastructure or capital projects (Tier 1 experience preferred) • Strong commercial and contractual acumen with experience across complex procurement packages • Ability to engage confidently with suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders • Proven experience working in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven project environments • Proactive, detail‑oriented and solutions‑focused approach
