System Specialist II (BAS)
Program, commission, troubleshoot, and support building automation control systems.

About the Role
• Provide controls database, graphics, and programming for sequences as specified (Distech, Alerton, Tridium preferred). • Perform accurate system start‑up and commissioning, including point‑to‑point checkout. • Commission, configure, and troubleshoot BACnet MSTP and/or BACnet IP. • Coordinate with installation personnel, contractors, and project managers on site. • Debug and troubleshoot installation issues during static and dynamic start‑up and commissioning. • Support Climatec and contractors in solving building operating issues beyond controls. • Contribute to estimation, design, installation, start‑up, commissioning, and training for building systems. • Produce start‑up documentation such as daily logs, checkout logs, and commissioning reports. • Deliver hands‑on service support for existing installations to maintain code compliance. • Ensure proper and efficient operation of existing systems and provide ongoing support to building engineers. • Complete timesheets, service work orders, and required paperwork accurately and timely. • Assist in preparing as‑built drawings and operation & maintenance manuals. • Help turnover projects from Operations to Service teams. • Assist sales team during estimating, including product or system demonstrations. • Travel to job sites as needed for start‑up, commissioning, and onsite assistance. • Deliver on‑site customer training and technical support to building engineers, project managers, and staff. • Participate in on‑call rotation for 24‑hour emergency response as required. • Lift and carry ladders, drawings, computers, material, etc.; lift up to 50 lb. • Stand and walk for extended periods on construction sites. • Climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout the day. • Maintain a satisfactory driving record per Climatec vehicle policy. • Kneel, stoop, and crawl as required.

Senior‑level employees are highly experienced, possessing advanced knowledge of control system programming, integrations, and sophisticated HVAC strategies. Only individuals authorized to work indefinitely in the U.S. will be considered; future sponsorship is unavailable. • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent. • 2+ years experience with Tridium and/or Distech building controls (field commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting). • 2+ years BACnet MSTP experience with commissioning, configuration, and troubleshooting. • 2+ years experience programming and managing building automation controls databases. • 2+ years experience troubleshooting basic electric and electronic circuitry and interpreting diagrams. • 2+ years proven field experience in building automation controls programming, network integration, and system commissioning. • Understanding of AC power circuitry, including breakers and multi‑phase power (120 VAC and greater). • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control wiring diagrams. • Four‑year degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred). • Niagara N4 Certification. • 3 years experience programming, servicing, and troubleshooting Distech, Alerton, or Tridium control systems. • 3 years experience debugging installation issues during static and dynamic start‑up phases. • 3+ years experience in construction, building automation controls/engineering, or related fields. • Deep understanding of HVAC operations in commercial facilities (e.g., K‑12 schools, hospitals, data centers). • Experience supporting retrofit projects or modernizing building automation systems. • Experience supporting installation personnel and contractors on project sites. • Experience creating start‑up documentation (daily logs, check‑out logs, commissioning documents). • Experience providing service support to existing installations, ensuring code compliance and efficient operation.
