Senior Transportation Planner

About the Role

• Provide leadership and training to junior associates • Manage projects to ensure quality analysis, budget adherence, and schedule compliance • Maintain high-level internal and external communications about project progress • Conduct cross-functional quality control by reviewing documents and analyses for accuracy • Review and evaluate data from others and recommend necessary changes • Ensure systems and databases are accurate and actively maintained • Attend public hearings as needed • Develop strategies and processes for the technical studies department and the company • Support positive client relations through consistent stakeholder communication • Participate in continuing education to stay current with industry trends • Uphold EPD core values in everyday interactions with partners

What You Bring

The Sr. Transportation Planner will play an integral role in daily operations and support the Technical Studies department. The ideal candidate brings 5‑10 years of transportation planning experience, extensive knowledge of systems and processes, excellent communication skills, and some leadership experience. A bachelor’s degree and 5‑10 years of relevant full‑time experience, or an equivalent education‑work mix, are required. Candidates must be proficient with transportation analysis software such as Synchro, PTV Vistro, Traffix, AutoCAD, ESRI ArcGIS, or TransCAD, and have strong Microsoft Office, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
