About the Role

Key duties include handling all maintenance requests, preventive maintenance, and amenity area upkeep for the community. Technicians complete work orders for appliances, plumbing, HVAC, minor electrical, gate systems, pool operations, and respond to after‑hours emergency calls. They also prepare vacant apartments for rent‑ready status, maintain an organized shop with adequate parts inventory, log service requests in databases, monitor contractor performance, and support the Service Manager with budget responsibilities. Customer service is a priority; employees must wear a clean, neat uniform at all times and maintain a professional appearance. They communicate with residents and prospects per PAC standards, receive and address complaints calmly, resolve issues within 24 hours, deliver newsletters, and coordinate resident events as directed by the General Manager. The position involves frequent heavy lifting and moving of appliances, laundry machines, and other equipment, often using hand‑trucks and stairs, with weights ranging from 75 pounds to over 300 pounds. What You Bring

Candidates should have 1‑3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in apartment communities, along with strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities. A background in budgeting or basic business finance is helpful, as is a refrigeration certification (type 2 or universal) or the willingness to obtain one within the first 90 days. A valid driver’s license free from major moving violations and reliable transportation are required.
