About the Role
The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in daily operations and financial functions of a housing community. This role handles rent delinquency, cash‑flow optimization, and acts as the onsite leader during the manager’s absence, overseeing personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial reporting, administration, and risk management. • Post payments, reconcile receivables, and manage end‑of‑month closings. • Monitor bad debt, issue late notices, contact residents/guarantors, and coordinate evictions. • Ensure property meets budgeted revenue, expenses, and NOI targets. • Screen, hire, train, coach, and evaluate onsite staff while enforcing company policies. • Lead leasing efforts: show units, process applications, secure lease signings, and maintain accurate records. • Implement marketing plans and resident retention programs such as events and newsletters. • Respond to resident complaints and requests to maintain high satisfaction levels. • Oversee maintenance service requests, property inspections, and timely repairs. • Manage vendor bids, supplies, and equipment to optimize resource use. • Maintain compliance with Fair Housing, OSHA, and safety guidelines; perform physical tasks up to 25 lb and operate equipment as needed.

Benefits
