About the Role

Join Cushman & Wakefield’s Project & Development Services team as an Assistant Project Manager, where you will help deliver high-quality commercial fit-outs, refurbishments and construction projects for a diverse client base across Australia. Working closely with senior Project Managers, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders, you will support project planning, coordination and execution to ensure timely, on-budget delivery to the highest standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to advance your project-management career within a supportive, high-performing environment. Key responsibilities include assisting with project planning and programming, coordinating with contractors, consultants and internal teams, and supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial tracking. You will monitor project schedules using tools such as MS Project, report progress, and identify risks or delays. Preparation of reports, presentations and documentation for clients and internal stakeholders, as well as maintaining compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards, are also essential. • Assist in planning, programming, and delivering commercial fit-outs and construction projects. • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to align on project goals. • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking throughout project lifecycles. • Monitor schedules, report progress, and flag risks or delays using MS Project or similar tools. • Prepare client-focused reports, presentations and documentation while ensuring safety and compliance.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in construction or client-side project management and holds a tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field. Strong organisational and stakeholder-engagement skills, proficiency with MS Project or Procore, and excellent communication and time-management abilities are required. You should be motivated, collaborative and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. • Minimum 2 years’ construction or client-side project management experience. • Hold a tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline. • Proficient with MS Project, Procore, or comparable project management software. • Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder-engagement abilities.
