About the Role
• Plan and schedule dry utility installation activities with project managers. • Review construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications to define project scope. • Supervise and coordinate underground utility crews, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance. • Assign tasks, monitor crew performance, and provide guidance as needed. • Coordinate delivery of equipment, tools, and materials for installations. • Maintain equipment in good working condition and ensure safe usage. • Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify installations meet specs. • Address issues promptly with project management. • Maintain clear communication among project management, subcontractors, and field staff. • Keep daily reports, work logs, and documentation up to date. • Enforce safety requirements at all times, including daily trench/excavation inspections and certifications. • Lay out work areas for trenches, backfill, large cut and fill, bore pits, vaults, duct banks, substation foundations, junction boxes, hand holes, and PEDs.

What You Bring
• Possess at least 10 years of verified heavy civil underground experience. • Demonstrate strong leadership and supervisory skills to motivate teams. • Have experience with utility trenching, backfill, and civil substation foundations; large cut and fill experience is a plus. • Hold OSHA Competent Persons Certification (trenching, excavation, shoring, rigging, confined spaces, OSHA 30). • Knowledge of construction plans, drawings, and specifications for underground utilities. • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices for construction and utility work. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders. • Solar industry experience is a plus.

Benefits
This full‑time position offers a negotiable rate of $44 per hour, a 50‑hour work week, a 10‑hour shift schedule, and benefits that include paid time off, family medical/dental/vision coverage, a 401(k) match, and a 5‑year employment appreciation bonus.
