About the Role

The assistant will maintain both electronic and hard‑copy facility and personnel folders, support site assist visits and compliance inspections, conduct thorough self‑inspections, and provide feedback and recommendations to customers after inspections. Additional duties include handling security inquiries and investigations, developing strategies to reduce recurring incidents, delivering a robust security education, training, and awareness (SETA) program, and managing visitor control, badging, and courier operations for all classification levels. • Review and recommend security documentation such as SOPs, OPSEC plans, test plans, and facility checklists. • Maintain electronic and hard‑copy facility folders with accreditation letters, approvals, System Security Plans, and related compliance documents. • Manage personnel folders including approved Program Access Requests, training records, and Program Indoctrination Agreements. • Support facility site assist visits and compliance inspections; conduct accurate self‑inspections and provide post‑inspection feedback. • Conduct security inquiries, draft preliminary reports, and offer independent recommendations to reduce incidents. • Develop and administer a comprehensive SETA program covering indoctrinations, briefings, and debriefings. • Operate visitor control and badging systems for Unclassified, Collateral, SAP, and SCI visits; verify IDs and process badge destruction. • Prepare and maintain program office courier credentials and oversee courier operations. • Fulfill Top Secret Control Officer duties, including inventories of classified material and accountability. • Provide security test and demonstration support through creation of test plans, OPSEC plans, transportation and destruction plans, and event security objectives. • Assess, develop, and implement security policies; serve as backup for Document Control Officer and Security Administrative Assistant roles.

What You Bring

We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Program Security Assistant to support comprehensive security operations for classified programs. The role requires managing complex security documentation, conducting compliance activities, and maintaining stringent security protocols across multiple security domains. The position requires U.S. citizenship, an active DoD Top Secret clearance with a recent investigation, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least four years of DoD security experience, including two years in a specialized classified environment. Candidates must obtain the CDSE Security Fundamentals Professional Certification within two years of hire and possess knowledge of key security directives and strong record‑keeping and communication skills. • U.S. citizen with active DoD Top Secret clearance and recent investigation (within 6 years). • High school diploma or equivalent; obtain SFPC certification within two years of hire. • Minimum four years of DoD security experience, with at least two years in a classified environment. • Working knowledge of EO 13526, NISPOM, ICD 705, DoDM 5200.01, DoDM 5205.07, DoDI 5205.11, and DoD 8500.01. • Proficient in electronic and physical recordkeeping; strong organizational and detail‑orientation skills. • Ability to interpret and apply complex security regulations and support compliance inspections. • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; excellent written and verbal communication.
