About the Role
The Space Systems Engineer will coordinate with stakeholders and individual contributors to manage requirements, assess risks, and provide reporting for satellite systems development and acquisition. This role requires a high‑energy professional who can guide both technical and programmatic aspects of space projects. Key duties include supporting CONOP development, on‑orbit calibration, validation, and ground‑site integration testing. The engineer will also advise and mentor customers on segment architecture, specifications, verification, and validation, while maintaining requirements baselines in tools such as DOORS. • Support CONOP development, on‑orbit calibration, validation, and ground‑site integration testing. • Advise and mentor customers on segment architecture, specifications, and verification/validation. • Maintain collection system requirements baseline in DOORS and lead segment verification activities. • Attend design and program management reviews to assess design maturity and provide technical recommendations. • Review verification evidence, test reports, and acquisition milestone documentation to identify risks and mitigation strategies. • Identify segment‑level impacts of new capabilities and facilitate integration into the program baseline.

What You Bring
The position is on‑site with up to 25% domestic travel and requires core‑hour support. Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and possess at least five years of relevant experience in DoD/IC satellite systems. Required qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and experience with DoD/IC acquisition processes. Desired qualifications include an advanced STEM degree with an emphasis on MBSE, prior program office experience, and experience developing technical specifications for space systems. • Required: Active TS/SCI with polygraph, Bachelor’s in STEM, 5+ years satellite systems experience. • Desired: Advanced STEM degree with MBSE focus, prior program office experience, space system specification development. • Travel up to 25% domestically; on‑site work location.
