About the Role

The role requires strict adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) standards, managing DCAA audits, handling cost accounting, and maintaining provisional and indirect rates. Financial analysis, forecasting, and project P&L tracking support strategic business decisions. Key duties include collaborating with the CFO contractor (CFO Hub) to produce monthly financial reports, preparing financial documents post‑contract, and assisting with audits and risk assessments. The incumbent will reconcile transactions, record expenses per GAAP and FAR, manage accounts receivable/payable, and create purchase orders and vendor agreements. The position also supports payroll and labor functions by collecting timesheets, coordinating with AspenHR for payroll processing, computing labor costs, and reviewing employee expense coding. Additionally, the employee will work with program managers to issue client invoices, record vendor invoices, and ensure timely payments. • Ensure compliance with FAR and DCAA regulations and manage DCAA audits • Perform cost accounting, maintain provisional and indirect rates, and monitor AR/AP • Prepare monthly financial reports and act as primary liaison to CFO Hub • Assist with financial statement audits, risk assessments, and employee benefit plan audits • Reconcile credit‑card and bank transactions monthly and record expenses per GAAP and FAR • Create purchase orders and set up vendor/subcontractor agreements • Contribute to the annual budgeting process and evaluate financial risk with owners • Provide project forecasting tools, including ETC and EAC projections • Support business development through market research and proposal preparation • Collect timesheets, coordinate payroll processing with AspenHR, and compute labor costs • Review and code employee expense reports accurately in the financial system • Generate and submit client invoices, record vendor invoices, and monitor timely payments

What You Bring

Required qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting, six or more years of GovCon accounting experience, and proficiency with FAR, GAAP, and platforms such as Unanet, Deltek CostPoint, and QuickBooks Online. Desired traits include self‑direction, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. The role is remote with occasional in‑person meetings. • Hold a BS in business, finance, or accounting with 6+ years GovCon accounting experience • Proficient with Unanet, Deltek CostPoint, QuickBooks Online, and Federal Travel Regulations • Demonstrate high moral character, transparency, honesty, and ability to pass background checks
