The Cost Control Engineer ensures that complex, high‑value projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. By analysing specifications, managing budgets, tracking expenditures, and collaborating with project teams, this role safeguards project profitability and client satisfaction in a market with tight margins and evolving scopes. • Analyse project specifications and drawings to prepare detailed cost estimates. • Maintain and monitor project budgets, ensuring compliance with financial policies. • Track actual spending against forecasts, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions. • Prepare and submit project cost reports to management and stakeholders. • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and site teams to gather data and implement cost controls. • Identify cost‑saving opportunities and recommend best practices to improve profitability. • Work with the planning team to assess risks and opportunities. • Communicate effectively with engineering, procurement, planning, and site teams. • Commit to quality, safety, and compliance standards. • Apply a problem‑solving mindset to recommend mitigation actions.

What You Bring
