About the Role
The Design Coordinator position is an entry-level role located in Bentonville, AR, working remotely (WFA) for HFA, a multidisciplinary architectural, engineering, and interior-design firm. The role falls under the Design category and supports the Design Team in creating design concepts and drafting construction documentation. The coordinator will employ 2D and 3D software to assist the team in developing design solutions and detailed construction documents that reflect client visions. They will independently address project challenges, evaluate client requirements, building codes, and zoning regulations, and provide technical design planning in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment. Key duties include producing accurate construction documents, documenting and analyzing existing building conditions to create as-built reports (travel required), conducting building-code analysis, developing design alternatives, coordinating building components with other disciplines, and performing quality control of their own work before submission to the Architect of Record. • Use 2D and 3D software to create designs and construction documents. • Evaluate client requirements, building codes, and zoning to develop design recommendations. • Produce accurate construction documents and as-built reports; travel as needed. • Conduct code analysis and research regulatory constraints. • Develop design options and coordinate building systems with multidisciplinary teams. • Perform quality control before submission to the Architect of Record. • Provide professional development, learning stipends, and employee recognition programs.
