About the Role
As an Electrical Superintendent, you will drive the execution of all electrical operations on‑site, overseeing planning, coordination, and hands‑on supervision to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to exact specifications. The role adapts to client and project size, ranging from leading small teams to orchestrating large‑scale efforts with broad authority. The superintendent will manage a crew of up to 60+ employees, including leadmen, foremen, and other superintendents, while supervising subcontractors, coordinating schedules, preparing two‑week look‑ahead plans, and maintaining organized receiving systems. Responsibilities also include performing job layouts with current technology, conducting minor estimating, ensuring operator certification and equipment maintenance, completing project reports, and supporting HR with hiring, training, and performance appraisal. Leadership, mentorship, and effective oral and written communication are essential. • Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures. • Lead and manage up to 60+ crew members, including leadmen, foremen, and superintendents. • Supervise and coordinate the performance of multiple subcontractors. • Perform duties of a Level I Superintendent and Foreman, including job layout using latest technology. • Prepare accurate two‑week look‑ahead schedules and maintain an organized receiving system. • Conduct minor estimating, cost forecasting, and schedule management. • Ensure all operators are certified and maintain all project equipment. • Assist HR with interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisal, and addressing employee complaints. • Mentor direct reports and supervise up to five foremen and crews of 100+ employees. • Participate in daily toolbox meetings and model safe behavior on‑site. • Organize, instruct, and supervise construction crews and subcontractors across all construction activities. • Utilize Microsoft Office, email, and internet for reporting and communication.

What You Bring
Required qualifications include at least five years of supervisory experience, a licensed Electrical Journeyman (Alaska or reciprocity), and knowledge of MIC health and safety programs. Candidates must be able to read blueprints, forecast project costs, use Microsoft Office, solve technical problems, and demonstrate strong leadership, motivation, and communication skills. The role demands up to 12‑hour shifts performing hard physical work in varied temperatures and weather conditions. Workers must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lb, work at heights, navigate confined or uneven spaces, and wear required personal protective equipment such as safety‑toed shoes, gloves, hard hats, and fall‑protection gear. • Communicate effectively in oral and written form; complete required project reports and documentation. • Apply knowledge of construction tools, methods, blueprint reading, and MIC health and safety programs. • Maintain physical stamina to work 12‑hour shifts, lift up to 50 lb, and work at heights with appropriate PPE. • Hold a valid Licensed Electrical Journeyman (Alaska State or reciprocal).

Benefits
This is a traveling, project‑based position with up to 90% travel across the United States. Assignments typically last 8–18 months, and you may be based in any U.S. city or state. Per diem, mobilization support, mileage reimbursement, and a longer weekend every four weeks are provided to offset living expenses. Compensation ranges from $110,000 to $150,000 annually, plus performance‑based merit increases.
