About the Role
• Serve as single point of contact with clients, assign deliverables, develop proposal outlines, schedule kickoff calls, and ensure RFP compliance. • Lead end‑to‑end proposal development, coordinating internal stakeholders and clients for timely, compliant submissions. • Plan and manage proposal timelines, content creation, and review cycles to align with client expectations and quality standards. • Author and refine executive summaries, technical narratives, project profiles, and resumes; mentor junior team members. • Collaborate with estimating, operations, and business development to craft win‑themes and value propositions. • Design custom graphics and presentation materials using PowerPoint and related tools. • Maintain and update the proposal content library and knowledge base (SharePoint, Expedience). • Analyze proposal outcomes and client feedback to drive continuous improvement in strategy and processes. • Support business development by creating pursuit strategies and preparing client‑facing materials.

What You Bring
Aecon Utilities is aiming to become Canada’s #1 utility construction provider and is seeking a Proposals Coordinator to help achieve that goal. Reporting to the Proposal Supervisor, you will coordinate proposal, tender, and quote submissions from bid/no‑bid decisions through contract execution. You will collaborate with estimators, operations, and other teams to deliver high‑quality responses to clients. Prior experience in proposal coordination and strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. • 5+ years progressive experience in proposal coordination or management, preferably within utilities or infrastructure. • Proven ability to lead complex, multidisciplinary proposals under tight deadlines with minimal supervision. • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, and proposal automation tools (Expedience). • Strong organizational and project‑management abilities, able to prioritize competing demands. • Experience collaborating across departments and influencing stakeholders at all levels. • APMP Foundation or Practitioner certification strongly preferred. • Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

The expected salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $90,000, with final compensation based on location, education, experience, and unique skills.
