About the Role
As the technical cornerstone of our switchboard engineering group you will spearhead mechanical engineering strategy and execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time and exceed expectations. You will lead conceptual design development tailored to customer needs and factory capabilities, oversee system engineering activities, and champion design quality by reviewing drawings and ensuring production readiness. You will mentor a high‑performing team, drive continuous improvement in engineering and manufacturing processes, and collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve factory and field‑service challenges. • Lead mechanical engineering strategy, ensuring on‑time, high‑quality project delivery. • Develop conceptual designs aligned with customer needs and factory capabilities. • Oversee system engineering, translating complex requirements into scalable solutions. • Review engineering drawings to guarantee production readiness and design quality. • Mentor and manage a high‑performing engineering team, fostering career growth. • Drive continuous improvement in engineering and manufacturing to increase efficiency. • Collaborate cross‑functionally to address factory and field service challenges. • Utilize tools such as Bid Manager, MAPICS/AS400, VISTA OMS, and design automation software.

What You Bring
Are you a visionary mechanical engineer ready to shape the backbone of hyperscale infrastructure? This role offers the opportunity to lead cutting‑edge design and engineering that power our hyperscale and base‑business customers. You will work with tools such as Bid Manager, MAPICS/AS400, VISTA OMS, and design automation software. A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related accredited discipline is required. Minimum experience includes three years in custom order engineering, five years using AutoCAD and 3D modeling software, and three years of people‑management experience. The role demands a sense of urgency, the ability to manage multiple priorities, strong logical problem‑solving skills, and proven collaboration with cross‑functional teams. Knowledge of UL‑891, ANSI, and NEMA standards and a metrics‑driven leadership approach are essential. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) from an accredited institution. • Possess at least 3 years of custom order engineering experience and 5 years of AutoCAD/3D modeling expertise. • Have minimum 3 years of people‑management experience. • Demonstrate urgency, multi‑tasking capability, logical problem‑solving, and teamwork. • Understand UL‑891, ANSI, and NEMA standards and lead in a metrics‑driven environment.
