About the Role

The Pre‑Construction Engineer will work cross‑functionally with Business Development, Engineering, Estimating, Procurement, Operations, and Legal to move opportunities through the bid and design phases. Responsibilities include managing bid packages, coordinating early‑stage design activities, maintaining project pipelines, engaging customers, and ensuring all pre‑construction work aligns with regulatory and safety standards. The role also oversees subcontractor onboarding, change‑order tracking, risk mitigation, and seamless handoff to construction teams. • Collaborate with Business Development, Engineering, Estimating, Procurement, Operations, and Legal to advance deals from opportunity to construction. • Manage bid packages, long‑lead planning, material procurement, and contractor RFPs. • Facilitate early‑stage design activities such as conceptual layouts, PV optimization, and value‑engineering analyses. • Own project pipeline development and maintain visibility of critical‑path plans. • Engage customers to ensure continuous project flow and capacity alignment. • Oversee pre‑construction activities, including subcontractor and vendor coordination. • Conduct constructability and technical reviews with engineering, interconnection, and development teams. • Align EPC agreement scope and schedule with permitting and interconnection requirements. • Track and manage owner and subcontractor change‑order requests. • Onboard subcontractors and ensure compliance with all contractual requirements. • Identify design changes impacting budget and communicate updates to estimating teams. • Assess contracting risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate handoff to construction.
