GAS Skilled Lab/Groundman

About the Role

• Assist crew with installation and repair of gas lines • Gather and distribute materials needed for each job • Hand locate existing utilities and grade landscape areas • Safely operate backhoe, skid steer, directional drill, trencher, and asphalt paving equipment • Use equipment after operator digs ditch for gas mains • Lift heavy natural gas pipelines as required

What You Bring

The Gas Skilled Laborer/Groundman supports the crew by assisting with the installation and repair of gas lines, handling material preparation, utility location, and equipment operation. The role is field‑based and physically demanding, requiring regular bending, squatting, climbing, lifting up to 50 lb, and work in inclement weather. Clear vision, precise hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to judge distances are essential. • High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum 1 year gas utility construction experience (preferred 2+ years) • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lb and perform frequent bending, squatting, climbing, etc. • Clear vision, precise hand‑eye coordination, and color discrimination
