About the Role

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Foundation Coordinator coordinates foundation work and ensures permits are obtained. They act as on‑site experts, applying contractual and engineering requirements to foundation construction. Working with the Project Manager, the coordinator prepares contracts for subcontractors, suppliers and consultants, and assists the Superintendent in coordinating foundation activities. They verify technical requirements with field teams and civil contractors, validate foundation progress, produce follow‑up reports, and coordinate substation foundation construction alongside various stakeholders. They also develop and implement a quality‑control program, manage material purchases and inventory, ensure technical procedures are applied, coordinate inspections with external labs and municipalities, and support the prevention program and traffic‑control measures. • Lead and manage teams, resolve conflicts, and work autonomously. • Prepare contracts for subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants. • Coordinate foundation activities with superintendents, civil contractors, and field teams. • Validate foundation construction progress and generate periodic reports. • Develop and enforce a quality‑control program for foundation works. • Manage procurement, receipt, and inventory of construction materials. • Arrange inspections with external laboratories and municipal authorities. • Support the site’s prevention program and traffic‑control implementation.

What You Bring

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or comparable training, 5‑10 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with Office and IT tools. Candidates must communicate fluently in French and English, possess knowledge of CSA A‑23.1.09‑23.2.09 standards, and demonstrate high geographical mobility, strong team‑management, conflict‑resolution, autonomy, leadership and administrative rigor. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field. • Possess 5–10 years of experience in foundation coordination or similar roles. • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other IT tools. • Communicate effectively in French and English, both orally and in writing. • Knowledge of CSA A‑23.1.09‑23.2.09 concrete standards. • Demonstrate high geographical mobility and flexible work‑hour availability.
