Job Highlights
About the Role
• Monitor daily civil and infrastructure construction to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety requirements. • Verify that materials and workmanship meet project standards and relevant codes. • Conduct routine and hold‑point inspections for activities such as excavation, backfilling, compaction, pavement, concrete, utilities, and ducts. • Review and witness field and laboratory tests, confirming results satisfy specifications. • Ensure approved ITPs, method statements, and checklists are followed by the contractor. • Prepare and maintain inspection requests, daily records, site inspection reports, and non‑conformance reports (NCRs). • Keep systematic records of work progress, tests, and site communications for audit purposes. • Assist the Resident Engineer/Assistant Resident Engineer with progress reports and technical inputs. • Compare site conditions with the latest drawings and schedules, clarifying discrepancies. • Report design or site issues promptly and support resolution of contractor technical queries. • Coordinate with other discipline inspectors to manage interface areas effectively. • Monitor contractor’s quality‑control procedures and report deficiencies. • Support implementation of project quality plans and participate in corrective‑action inspections. • Promote safe work practices, report unsafe conditions, and liaise with HSE staff as needed. • Provide factual site information and records during client, authority, or stakeholder visits. • Ensure road and utility works comply with local authority standards and regulations. • Read and interpret civil/infrastructure drawings, specifications, and contract documents effectively. • Produce accurate site inspection and daily reports while maintaining organized records.

What You Bring
Parsons is seeking an experienced Civil Inspector to monitor day‑to‑day civil and infrastructure works on site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality and safety requirements. • Hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering and at least 7 years of infrastructure construction supervision experience. • Possess prior consultancy experience with strong knowledge of site construction and supervision procedures. • Familiarity with local authority standards for roads and utilities is advantageous. • Thrive in a fast‑paced, site‑based, multidisciplinary supervision team.
