About the Role
The Operations Analyst – Automation role at Johnson Controls is responsible for overseeing all operational processes and procedures to ensure IT services and infrastructure meet defined operational targets. This includes monitoring and managing infrastructure and application components while driving continuous improvement across incident, problem, change, and release management processes. In the area of Incident and Problem Management, the analyst identifies and implements solutions for recurring issues to minimize downtime, ensures timely resolution of incidents within predefined SLAs, and records all incidents and problems in a central repository. They collaborate with problem management teams to drive both proactive and reactive problem handling, conduct periodic reviews, define procedures, coordinate vendor‑managed product resolutions, and lead post‑implementation reviews to foster continuous improvement. Technical Change Management duties involve enforcing standardized methods for building, testing, and implementing changes that meet service level expectations. The analyst works with business and IT stakeholders to align change requests with business requirements, maintains comprehensive change records, prioritizes, plans, tests, implements, documents, and reviews authorized changes, and escalates critical changes to the Change Advisory Board for assessment and scheduling. The analyst also participates in project teams throughout the technology enablement lifecycle, providing subject‑matter expertise during design and integration, advising clients on business process services, and collaborating with technology professionals and strategic partners to implement solutions. Responsibilities extend to project management, execution, reporting, client relationship building, and creating technical designs that maintain and enhance automated solutions for Johnson Controls business processes. A key focus is developing and documenting automation configuration best practices for the MS Power Platform and UiPath, configuring new Power Apps and automation processes, and troubleshooting issues that arise in day‑to‑day operations. What You Bring
Candidates must demonstrate mastery of automation tools such as UiPath or the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate), an understanding of basic object‑oriented and low‑code concepts, and experience diagnosing and resolving code issues. Strong problem‑solving abilities, self‑motivation, teamwork, action‑orientation, excellent verbal and written communication in English, and a results‑driven mindset are essential. Preferred qualifications include proficiency in React, familiarity with Python or .NET, knowledge of Windows Server, networking fundamentals, troubleshooting tools, and SQL Server.
