About the Role
The Porter/Yard Worker (also called Yard Associate) is responsible for positioning and retrieving rental equipment on the facility’s grounds, maintaining a written maintenance schedule, and performing routine servicing to keep equipment within specification. Before each rental and after equipment is returned, the associate inspects items, documents any loss or damage, and ensures safety standards are met. The role requires frequent bending, squatting, lifting of 50 lb or more, and work both indoors and outdoors. • Station and retrieve rental equipment on site. • Keep a written maintenance schedule and perform routine equipment servicing. • Inspect equipment before and after each rental and record any loss or damage. • Perform basic mechanical repairs to meet specifications. • Follow safety protocols while handling equipment. • Communicate effectively with customers, both written and oral. • Apply basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).

What You Bring
• High school diploma or GED preferred. • Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred. • Some mechanical repair training or experience preferred. • Use Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word). • Demonstrate general mechanical aptitude and safety focus. • Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required depending on location.

Pay starts between $17.75 and $23.72 per hour, depending on location, experience and training.
