About the Role

A Driver‑CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck, providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. The driver must ensure the vehicle complies with the Company’s safety standards, adhere to all applicable state and federal regulations, and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects promptly. Key duties include performing comprehensive pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections, reporting safety issues, and operating the truck along assigned routes to service each customer as indicated on the route sheet or by dispatch. The driver loads and compacts refuse using manual or automatic controls, interacts courteously with customers and dispatchers, tags unsatisfactory containers, cleans accidental spills, and maintains vehicle readiness by cleaning waste from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip. The driver must complete required route, productivity, and vehicle condition reports, meet departmental productivity standards, follow all safety policies, and actively participate in the Company’s ReSOP program. Additional responsibilities include adhering to work schedules, demonstrating honesty, trustworthiness, and pride in work, and delivering professional, cooperative service to customers and co‑workers.
