Site Supervisor

About the Role

The Supervisor provides both planned and reactive technical support to engineering teams, ensuring operational and compliance standards are met and exceeded. The role covers high‑voltage/low‑voltage (HV/LV) and mechanical‑electrical‑plumbing (MEP) strategies, and leads the continual development and implementation of company IT systems, site mobilisation, and broader professional services support. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Supervisor collaborates with the technical services team and manages a shift crew, including rota planning and staffing competencies across all sites. The position also upholds BGIS core values and actively supports the organisation’s diversity and inclusion commitments. Key priorities include consistent risk management, adherence to statutory and code compliance, and the promotion of BGIS management systems. The role requires regular engagement with site management, participation in operational meetings, and driving continuous improvement through business‑leading concepts. • Provide technical supervision to meet all technical services commitments. • Ensure HV/LV activities fully comply with BGIS HV/LV rules. • Maintain statutory and code compliance of sites, supporting local management with specialists as needed. • Deliver consistent risk management across operations. • Identify team development needs and implement action plans. • Serve as appointed engineer for High Voltage, Mechanical, and Confined Space projects. • Update SSOW mechanical and HV/LV rules. • Offer technical support to local teams and maintain staffing competencies across sites. • Investigate and assist with root cause analyses of major operational incidents. • Attend operational and site management meetings to address local issues and concerns. • Communicate contractual concerns to management for resolution. • Promote and apply BGIS management systems and processes across contracts. • Design, develop, and implement business‑leading concepts. • Uphold and promote BGIS core values. • Support the preparation of quotes, purchase orders, invoices, budgeting, and contracts. • Manage shift team scheduling and rota oversight.
