About the Role

The Assistant Regional Engineering Manager, based in Singapore, reports to the Regional Engineering Lead and oversees engineers and technicians across Southeast Asia, with additional technical duties in Japan and ANZ. This role carries overall technical responsibility for site facilities engineering operations and acts as delegate for the lead when required. Key accountabilities include developing training programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and client standards, and managing engineering services to meet financial and performance KPIs. Responsibilities span overseeing installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and power generation systems, implementing energy‑management initiatives, handling vendor contracts, establishing preventive maintenance and quality measurement processes, and preparing budgets and monthly reports. • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians across SEA, Japan, and ANZ. • Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and client standards. • Develop and deliver training programs to improve team skill levels. • Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and power generation systems. • Implement energy management initiatives to reduce utility costs. • Manage vendor contracts and conduct technical audits on schedule. • Establish engineering procedures, service standards, and preventive maintenance programs. • Prepare engineering budgets, track financial KPIs, and produce monthly FM reports. • Act as primary technical point of contact for FM engineers and provide 24/7 emergency support. • Coordinate critical environment procedures, power downs, and monthly performance measurements. • Maintain parts inventory, lifecycle replacements, as‑fitted drawings, and O&M manuals.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold an engineering degree or professional qualification, possess at least five years of facilities maintenance experience, and demonstrate strong problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English and the local language, as well as IT literacy, are also required. • Hold an engineering degree, 5+ years facilities maintenance experience, and fluency in English plus the local language.
