About the Role

Superintendents lead field operations, oversee completion schedules and labor budgets, and manage all subcontractors and specialty department work on their projects. They collaborate closely with project managers, owners, architects and subcontractors to ensure safe, successful project delivery. The role includes planning and scheduling projects, developing manpower budgets, controlling progress, quality and safety, and evaluating costs weekly to maintain profitability while maximizing customer satisfaction. Superintendents also demonstrate thorough knowledge of construction processes. People management responsibilities involve ensuring client satisfaction, providing leadership through team building, communication, motivation, and mentorship of Pepper staff, and reinforcing safety awareness across the jobsite. Business development tasks require representing and promoting Pepper Construction to clients, architects, engineers, building officials and inspectors, maintaining professional appearance, and consistently acting in a professional manner. • Plan and schedule projects, including short‑interval schedules. • Develop and manage manpower budgets based on estimates and schedule. • Oversee subcontractors, resolve issues, and maintain documentation, quality and safety controls. • Monitor weekly labor, material, and equipment costs to protect profit margins. • Ensure client satisfaction by addressing all customer needs. • Lead, motivate and mentor Pepper team members and subcontractors. • Promote a safety‑first culture and provide necessary training. • Represent Pepper Construction professionally to clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors. • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the company’s reputation.

What You Bring

Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in construction management and at least three years of field supervision experience.
