About the Role

• Perform engineering, construction, and design assignments using professional judgment in at least one discipline. • Lead minor‑complexity projects and supervise less experienced staff. • Conduct field testing of soils, concrete, water, sewer mains, and manholes. • Document project activities and quantities clearly and concisely. • Analyze and design minor structures, systems, and equipment. • Prepare sketches, diagrams, and review detailed drawings and layouts. • Assist in reports, economic and technical feasibility studies, and alternative evaluations. • Help prepare contract/proposal specifications and construction cost estimates. • Review contractor shop‑drawing submittals. • Perform construction monitoring and coordinate field activities. • Follow health and safety plans to work safely and responsibly.

What You Bring

We are seeking motivated and hard‑working engineers for entry‑level civil engineering positions in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, South Bend, and Munster, IN. Candidates from transportation, structural/bridge, water, surveying, and construction services backgrounds are welcome. Diversity candidates are encouraged to apply. The entry‑level civil engineer will support a variety of engineering, construction, and design tasks, working under supervision while gaining experience in field testing, documentation, analysis, and project coordination. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field and have at least one relevant internship or experience in transportation, water, structural, construction services, or surveying. Preference is given to those with FE certification (or eligibility within one year), AutoCAD and MicroStation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Applicants must be able to safely traverse construction sites and comply with all safety codes.
