About the Role

The Global Internal Communications Specialist supports ERM’s internal communications ecosystem, focusing on the corporate intranet and collaboration platforms such as Viva Engage and SharePoint. The role ensures that content remains accurate, accessible, and aligned with the overall employee experience while overseeing daily platform operations, governance processes, and the contributor network. Partnering with group functions and regional teams, the specialist maintains a consistent user experience, assists with publishing needs, and contributes to platform enhancements and best‑practice content guidelines. They also drive adoption of digital workplace tools, including M365, by promoting intranet features and facilitating engagement campaigns. • Publish, edit, and maintain intranet content following brand, accessibility, and governance standards. • Train and support group functions and regional teams to update pages, use templates, and refine content. • Manage homepage updates, rotating banners, and schedule content releases. • Apply intranet governance policies, enforce naming conventions, navigation rules, and content lifecycle requirements. • Flag content for review, retirement, or realignment and maintain audit records. • Provide day‑to‑day support to content owners, including troubleshooting, guidance, and SharePoint training. • Coordinate with HR, IT, Legal, Finance, and H&S to ensure timely content delivery. • Partner with IT to log issues, manage access permissions, and perform minor technical updates. • Conduct quality checks for broken links, navigation issues, formatting consistency, and accessibility gaps. • Monitor intranet and Viva Engage analytics and produce basic reports on trends and improvement opportunities. • Support employee engagement campaigns, landing pages, and news stories. • Collect user feedback and implement approved improvements to boost adoption of intranet features and M365 tools. • Develop understanding of AvePoint/Tygraph for SharePoint to refine insights on intranet and Viva Engage usage.

What You Bring

The position requires a highly organized, detail‑oriented professional with strong writing, editing, and digital content skills. Experience managing a corporate intranet—ideally on a global scale—and familiarity with SharePoint Online, governance standards, and analytics are essential, while certifications in digital communications or SharePoint/M365 are advantageous but not mandatory. • Highly organized with strong attention to detail. • Clear communicator who can simplify complex information. • Strong collaborator, culturally aware, able to build global relationships. • Proactive, responsive, and capable of managing multiple tasks. • Experience managing or supporting a corporate intranet (global preferred) and collaboration platforms. • Strong writing, editing, and digital content skills. • Knowledge of SharePoint Online, content management systems, and digital workplace tools. • Ability to follow governance standards and use analytics for improvements. • Desirable: matrix‑organization experience, basic UX, accessibility, information architecture knowledge, and training enablement experience. • Certifications in digital communications or SharePoint/M365 are a plus.
