About the Role
The Maintenance Technician A, supervised by a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, performs repair and maintenance on diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, refuse bodies, air brake systems, engine work, HVAC, and suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems. This role works on a single fleet of state‑of‑the‑art vehicles, supporting drivers on their routes while tackling new technical challenges each day. • Perform chassis component repair and maintenance. • Service refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems. • Repair air and hydraulic braking systems. • Conduct engine repair and maintenance. • Maintain suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems. • Service heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems. • Execute line‑maintenance welding and fabrication. • Diagnose malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools. • Complete applicable company training programs.

What You Bring
The technician maintains advanced knowledge and strong skill proficiency across vehicle systems and executes complex repairs both on‑site and on the road. They diagnose malfunctions with electronic tools, complete required company training, and handle additional duties as assigned. Candidates must have at least three years of heavy‑duty truck experience and be capable of inspecting and repairing multiple systems without supervision. ASE Heavy‑Truck certifications, LNG/CNG experience, and a Class B or higher commercial driver’s license are preferred, while a valid driver’s license is required. • Minimum 3 years experience as a heavy‑duty truck technician. • Ability to inspect and repair suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions without supervision. • ASE Heavy‑Truck certifications (T1‑T8) preferred. • LNG or CNG experience preferred. • Class B or higher commercial driver’s license preferred. • Valid driver’s license required.
