About the Role

The role requires applying knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly processes, as well as tooling and fixturing design, to develop and implement improvements in layout and material handling. You will train factory operators on equipment, tooling, and procedures, and plan, coordinate, and oversee facility changes and upgrades. Additionally, you will lead Shop Floor and Rapid Improvement Events to meet cost‑out targets, and determine optimal manufacturing methods for new products or customer orders, ensuring alignment with division objectives. Conducting line capacity analysis and driving labor productivity initiatives will be essential to achieving business goals. You will be responsible for specifying, designing, quoting, installing, debugging, and maintaining manufacturing equipment, and supporting Lean, Six Sigma, and Pro Launch activities through creation of process maps, standard work, takt times, PFMEA, DOE, control plans, and job safety analyses. Cross‑functional support for other key plant processes will be provided as directed. • Improve manufacturing layout and material handling processes • Train operators on equipment, tooling, and procedures • Lead Shop Floor and Rapid Improvement Events to achieve cost‑out targets • Perform line capacity analysis and drive labor productivity initiatives • Specify, design, install, debug, and maintain manufacturing equipment • Create Lean and Six Sigma artifacts (process maps, standard work, takt times, PFMEA, DOE, control plans, JSA) • Provide cross‑functional support for key plant processes

What You Bring

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution and at least one year of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment. Candidates must have training and experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools, and be proficient with PC software such as Microsoft Office, SAP ERP, AS400, and AutoCAD. Only applicants residing within a 50‑mile radius of Greenwood, SC are considered, with no relocation assistance offered; active‑duty military members are exempt from the geographic restriction. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience • Skilled in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma tools, and software (Microsoft Office, SAP, AS400, AutoCAD) • Candidates must reside within 50 mi of Greenwood, SC (military exemption); no relocation benefit offered
